Hey, a timely wrestling post for once. Just watched
Velocity. People are getting shot in the
Jet Li movie that just started.
It was a good touch during
MNM's match with the scrubs when
Melina was talking on her jewel-encrusted cellphone during the match. Then, when one of the guys had thrown one of the jobbers out of the ring, she casually walked over to the jobber and kicked him in the gut. She continued her conversation on her phone as she sauntered off. The whole thing came off very well I thought. It really added to the whole bratty rich kids type of image they are going for with them.
It was also nice to see that there might be hope that they won't bury all the new luchadores.
Juventud won his match against
Funaki, and
Super Crazy and
Psicosis beat the team of
Billy Kidman and
Akio.
I hadn't watched Velocity for quite a while, and haven't watched it regularly for at least a year. My daughter gets up so early that I'm usually asleep when it starts. And since the overall product has sucked for so long it hasn't been a priority to watch more WWE wrestling than necessary so I didn't tape it.
I used to watch Velocity every week back when I could see
ROH alums
Paul London and
Spanky. Current ROH star
CM Punk is supposedly signing with the big boys. Depending on which "brand" he's on once he makes TV, I may be watching Velocity regularly again.
That reminds me that I have a program idea for Punk that I would love to have stolen and used. I will post on it some other time.
